Prof. Sobhindran
Prof. Sobhindran was born on April 3, 1947, in Kakkoor, Kozhikode district, to T. Narayanan and Ambujakshi. He completed his school education at Kakkoor Govt. L.P. School and A.K.K.R. High School, Chelannur. He earned a degree in Economics from Malabar Christian College and a postgraduate degree from Zamorin Guruvayoorappan College, Kozhikode.
After his studies, he worked as a sub-editor for about a year at the Kozhikode daily newspaper "Viplavam". Then, in 1971, he joined Bangalore Govt. Arts and Science College as a teacher. From 1972 to 1975, he taught at Govt. College in Molakalmuru, Chitradurga district, Karnataka. During this period, he initiated various curricular and extracurricular activities with his students. On November 10, 1975, he joined Zamorin Guruvayoorappan College, Kozhikode, as an Economics lecturer, retiring in 2002 as the head of the Economics department. He passed away on October 12, 2023.
